This project is all about color! Color can enhance art, it can help portray mood and it can really help get your message across. For this project, use colors! Notice the examples below. The art is not lost with the use of colors. The colors just bring more interest, more things to look at to the pieces.

Do some solo research and sketches.
For this project, students will:
Enhance skills of creating sculptures based on the theme
Understand technical and aesthetic approaches to developing their idea to illustrate the theme.
Make informed choices about techniques to create their art.
Develop an understanding of sculpture and expression in the world around them.
Analyze and discuss complex ideas in works of art.
Create original works of art of increasing complexity and skill that reflect their feelings and point of view.
Describe the relationship involving the art maker, the process, the product and the viewer.
Demonstrate proper art making techniques in production of a work of art
Students will create art with the given theme.
Take photos of your sculpture and upload them to your website
Answer the questions below in a discussion type layout on your website.
Fill out a rubric and see Mr. Warren when you are done for a review and grade
Questions to be answered about your photos:
• Why did you choose this theme to represent your work?
• Gives insight into your idea. Why you chose the subject and materials?
• Was its successful?
• Briefly describe what your project is about.
• What principals and elements did you use to make your sculpture?
(Elements: Line, shape, form. value, space, color, texture. Principles: Rhythm, balance, emphasis, unity, variety, movement)
• What did you learn in the process of completing this project?
• List 2 things you would change and tell why.
